What's Inside

This is the entire history of Islam. Never before has a book been written that tells the entire history of our Ummah.

From the Muslim kingdoms of Italy and Greece to the sultanates of China and Vietnam.

From the time of Ibrahim (AS) all the way to the modern era, and from the lands of Brazil in the west to Japan in the east.

Every kingdom, every era, every movement, and every event.

Rise of the Turks
Independence

Everything important to the telling of our history will be in this book.

There will be entire sections on how different madhhabs developed and how the Qur'an was compiled and standardized.

There will also be entire chapters on how the Muslim world was colonized and how the modern countries soon after gained their independence.

And along the way, this book will teach lessons about Islam: how the Islamic economy is so different from capitalism and communism; how the Islamic family framework is so different from individualism and feminism.

This is our complete history as Muslims—a book that has never been made before…

Why I'm Writing This Book

Growing up, I struggled to find a single resource that told the complete story of Islamic civilization - one that was both historically rigorous and genuinely engaging to read.

Most books either oversimplified the narrative or buried fascinating stories under academic jargon. I wanted to create something different: a book that reads like an epic adventure while staying true to historical sources.

This book is my attempt to share these incredible stories with a new generation - stories of scholars who preserved ancient knowledge, warriors who changed the course of history, and everyday people who built civilizations that shaped our world.

- Omar of the Orient

How It's Written

History that reads like an adventure

Over the past five years, I have written hundreds of stories about the Muslim Ummah. I have taken the monumental events of our history from our boring books and brought them to life in a way that conveys the emotions of those who lived through that history.

This will be a storybook full of emotion and feeling—moments of joy and moments of sadness, moments of fear and moments of triumph.

You will feel the fear that the Muslims felt that day when the Vikings invaded al-Andalus: a bizarre and strange people, their entire bodies tattooed with mysterious symbols in the brightest blue ink.

You will feel the determination and energy of those Muslims as they dragged their mighty ships over land in order to position them in the waters on the other side of Constantinople.

And that feeling of pure bliss and glory when they realized that they were the army to fulfill a prophecy and capture a city that no Muslim army had ever captured before.

This is not an academic book. This is not a book that simply lists facts and gives you statistics. This is a book of our history.

So I am writing it in a way that lets us truly connect with it and with the people who lived through those events.
